The Mustang in case #68 is the airframe currently on display at the Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon, England. It was built up using an ex-TNI-AU (Indonesian) Mustang, along with the remains of 44-73415, which had suffered a fatal crash when US registered as N6526D. It was restored to static display condition by the San Diego Aerospace Museum, and in return, they received a similarly restored Spitfire Mk. XVI. The Mustang is currently on display at Hendon as 44-13573, B6-V, 'Little Friend,' of the 357th FG.

This photo definatly shows it inside the Bomber command hall at RAF Museum Hendon so that puts the date between March 1991 when it arrived at the museum and 14th July 2003 where it was moved to the RAF Museum Cosford due to the impending arrival of another P51D 44-74409.
