Case #43 shows Pete McManus' 'Petie 3rd,' probably when it was owned by John Siedel, and based in Sugar Grove, Illinois, in the late '60s. The photo shows it carrying the registration N311G, but before this it was N619C. Now it is registered N51PT to Pete McManus, and painted in a 352nd F.G. Blue Nose Bastards of Bodney paint scheme as John C. Meyer's 'Petie 3rd.'

N311G was owned by Mayor John Seidel of Sugar Grove, IL from 1963 to 1970.It is now N51PT, flown by Pete Mcmanus of Miami FL, who had the markings of Petie 3rd painted on this Mustang.

My father owned the plane until 70's was told that it was the Widowmaker markings during Korean War before being sold for civilian use and painted with red white rising sun paint scheme. He sold it to Clay Clabo who raced it at Reno as Iron Mistress then as Fat Cat.
