Yes, its the Mustang Pilots Club P-51D-30NA, 44-74950, N511D. Photo taken in April 1965. It was a regular sight at Van Nuys Airport in those days.Its being warmed up prior to takeoff. The majority of Mustangs in those days had civilian color schemes. |
