2006 P-51s Trading Spaces
44-74009 became "Ain't Missbehavin'" again with new owner Jim Thompson.
Ken Wagner purchased 45-11633 "Lady Alice" from Bob Jepson. Ken is a new P-51 pilot who
flies every weekend out of Chino Ca.
Well, the two most notably for me are the the two that have left Hollister,
Ca. Hollister was another Chino as P-51s go with six on site and
five of those six airworthy and actively flying. Now, two are gone leaving a
measly four P-51s :) The most recent sale was Brian Adams' P-51 "Flying Dutchman".
Pete Regina picked her up and ferried her to Van Nuys, Ca. on Sep 3.
Earlier this year, Dan Martin flew Hugh Bikle's old ride N72FT "Iron Ass" to
her new owner in San Diego. Very tough to see them leave, both flew often.
New owner of "Old Crow" is Jim Hagedorn.
Other P-51s changing hands, include 44-74474 "Old Crow", A68-187 "SuSu II"
painted as "La Pistolero" now owned by Rod Lewis, 44-73206 "Hurry Home Honey", 44-72438 "Hell-er Bust"
owned by Robert Jepson sold to John Sessions. Ed Shipley ferried her across
the USA to Washington state. John Bagley has added Cavalier 67-22579 to his
fine collection of warbirds.
