Thanks Curtis, I needed the hint. I've been looking at this one for weeks. When you stop to realize that every mustang that gets a new paint scheme, looks like this one at some point, it makes for a lot of possibilities. I'll put in my 2 cents worth and say that it is 44-73027, RCAF 9250, to N9146R, to N5747, to N51MP, to F-AZJM, to HB-RCW. The photo was most likely taken at Van Nuys in 1973 when it was being repainted from the 9146R to N5747 scheme. The tiny number on the vertical fin is N9146R, according to the slides I have of this bird.
